About Fernhart Labs
Fernhart Labs is a small studio making Android apps that each do one job properly: tune a drum lug by lug, track racket string tension, design a subwoofer box, draft a sewing pattern to your measurements, keep a coin album, or run the records for a hatch, a rabbitry or a goat herd.
How the apps work
- Offline. Every app runs entirely on your phone and works without a connection.
- No account. There is no sign-up, and your data stays on your device.
- No subscriptions. The apps are free with ads, and most have an optional one-time purchase that removes them. Nothing is locked behind it.
How we build them
Each app page explains how the app works and lists its honest limits. The apps that listen through the microphone (Lugline, Stringbed and Pianowise) were checked on real recordings that were held back while the engine was tuned.
Our guides cite their sources, and their tables are generated from the same data files the apps use, so a guide and its app never disagree.
